I help financial and crypto teams ship clear, compliant, and confident experiences.
I'm Qin — a senior product designer based in Hong Kong. I've spent the last eight years working on financial and crypto products, from institutional onboarding flows and on-chain investigation tools to wealth-management dashboards and design systems.
What I'm best at: turning messy, regulated problems — KYB, AML, on-chain risk, compliance onboarding — into experiences users can move through with confidence. That usually starts with talking to the people doing the work, finding the decision points that don't show up in the spec, and rebuilding the flow around them.
I lead and mentor design teams as well — building hiring rubrics, design rituals, roadmaps grounded in research, and shared measurement frameworks. I care about the work being measurable, not just shipped.

How I tend to operate
Research before pixels
The flows I'm proudest of started with interviews — not Figma. Especially in compliance, the gap between the spec and the user's real decision points is where the wins live.
Measurable, not just shipped
I push for measurable outcomes — conversion, completion time, qualitative confidence — and partner with data to define the metric before we design.
Quietly opinionated
I bring strong points of view, hold them lightly, and care more about the team shipping the right thing than about being right.
