Problem

At present, we are able to talk to friends and family members over a distance through message, voice and video. It still feels different from face-to-face communi- cation due to the lack of sense of presence. What is missing, is tactile contact.

Design & Physical Prototype

EmoBridge is designed to add tactile feedback into telecommunications. People are able to send and receive “message” with temperature via the robot. The spherical shape is used to encourage people to touch it unconciously and intuitively.
